Sonny is a transgender artist of Hawaiian descent based in Los Angeles. She graduated from Art Center College of Design with a Bachelors in Fine Arts and a minor in creative writing. Her education experience is multidisciplinary, having studied and produced animation, film, writing, photography, and noise performances. Her work emphasizes texture and a curated control of values creating a surreal and dismal atmosphere.
